In loving memory of Ronald Lovick Allen

1931 - 2009

Visitation will be held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, Fl on Saturday November 28, 2009 at 9AM, followed by a funeral service at 10AM, and internment at Bayview Memorial Park.

Ron Allen, 78, of Fairhope, AL passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 in Gulf Breeze, Fl. Born in Montgomery, Alabama on March 2, 1931 to the late Lovick and Lee Ella Allen, Ron was the eldest of 5 children. After earning his B.S. degree from the University of Alabama and LSU, Ron worked with IBM (I’ve Been Moved) during the early years of computers. His family enjoyed living in many places including Huntsville, New York, New Orleans, Chicago, Dallas, Germany, California and Gulf Breeze. Ron was also an accomplished pianist, song writer and photographer.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty Lee Allen, second wife, Cathy Allen, brother Paul Allen, and Paul’s son Charles Lovick Allen. He is survived by his daughters, Laura Lee Wilson (Jack), Betsy Allen, granddaughters Shannon Wilson, Caitlyn Wilson and Lara Bol (Allen). Ron is also survived by brothers Jerry Allen (Jan) of Allen, TX, Mike Allen (Linda) of Gulf Breeze, FL, sister Suanne Allen-Young (Ed) of Foley, AL, sister-in-law Carolyn Allen (Paul) of Windermere, FL  as well as many nieces and nephews. Ron also cherished his very large and loving extended family in the Montgomery, AL area.
